Lamp parts provide the spine and stand for the Dress Form. Below is a description of these lamp parts. They are available in brass, plated brass, and plated nickle finishes. They should be available from most hardware stores. They are also available online from: Grand Brass Lamp Parts and National Art Craft.

1/8 IPS Nipples   The spine of the Dress Form is made from a fully threaded nipple. The nipple may be either the exact length required for a specific Dress Form, a combination of two or more nipples joined with couplings, or cut from a 36" long threaded nipple.

The top of the Dress Form may be either a loop, hook, or finial. Loops or hooks are used to suspend the Dress Form. The bottom of the Dress Form is connected to a Dress Form stand using a coupling.

The Dress Form stand can be made from a pipe which is threaded at the top and bottom. The top of the pipe is screwed into the coupling on the Dress Form. The bottom of the pipe can be screwed into a glass lamp shade holder. These holders come in a variety of different sizes and styles.

For suspended Dress Forms, a lamp gooseneck may be used. The base for the gooseneck needs to be large or heavy enough to allow the Dress Form to be suspended.
